Heraldic Graphics

In preparing for the second edition of Cracroft's Peerage we commissioned the well known graphic artist, Don Smith, to create a series of the coats-of-arms of peers for us.  Sadly Mr Smith died early in 2002.

The first batch of graphics covers the Prince of Wales and the current Dukes of England, Scotland, Ireland, Great Britain and the United Kingdom, and, as can be seen from the example of the arms of the Duke of Norfolk on the left, they are truly magnificent examples of the skill of the graphic artist.

Mr Smith's style was very reminiscent of that of the late Don Pottinger, Unicorn Pursuivant of Arms, who in collaboration with the late Sir Iain Moncreiffe of that Ilk, Albany Herald of Arms, produced the best selling heraldic primer, Simple Heraldry.

As soon as we saw the quality of the work Mr Smith has done for us, we realised immediately that these graphics were worthy of a larger market than just the readership of Cracroft's Peerage.  Consequently we are pleased to make available library or full size versions of these arms.

They are supplied in full colour on high quality matte A4 paper and are eminently suitable for framing for display in the home.  Where Scottish peers are heads of clans this has been noted, thus making the prints a very suitable way of showing allegiance to the Clan chief. 

Each print costs exclusive of value added tax and postage costs. Prints are supplied in board-backed heavy duty manilla envelopes and can be posted to any country in the world.  The shopping cart will calculate the postage costs applicable to your order and add them to your account.  Value added tax will be automatically added to any order originating from within the European Community.
