History:
The Livery of about 200 is limited to scientific instrument makers and distinguished users. It was formed in 1955 and granted its Livery in 1964. Fellowships are awarded at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Teaching Fellowship at Girton College, and prizes at the City University and the City and Guilds of London Institute.

The Hall at the south west corner of London Bridge is shared with the Glaziers' Company.
