History:
Received Ordinances from 1368 and a Charter in 1665. It controlled the sale of rabbits, pigeons, game, piltry and swans. About 60 per cent of the Livery of 150 are connected with piltry and frozen food. An annual grant is made to the Game Conservancy, Fordingbridge. Nepton's Charity helps elderly people in Ilford and Barking.

Former Halls existed between 1610 and 1666.
