The Company's first Hall, acquired in 1445, was in London Wall. The nunnery buildings of St Helen Bishopsgate were purchased in 1543. These were demolished in 1799 and the Company moved to a smaller building nearby. This was burned down in 1819 and rebuilt in 1822 by W F Pocock. A new, larger Hall was built opposite by G A Wilson and opened in 1878. The old building was let as offices. Having sustained severe damage in 1941 the present Hall was restored by K Peacock in 1959. The Livery Hall is almost a perfect 38ft cube.
