History:
Grew out of the co-operative work of the Agriculture Fund of 1939-45. It was granted a Livery in 1952 and a Charter in 1955. Most of the Livery, numbering about 275, are farmers. It makes grants for travelling expenses to study farming overseas and operates an advanced farm management course at Wye College.
