On either side a Dray Horse Argent harnessed and bridled proper gorged with a Wreath of Roses Gules barbed seeded and leaved also proper

Arms and Crest granted 28 February 1929; Supporters granted 7 April 1938.

History:
Separated from the Woodmongers, the Carmen were established in 1668 but received a Charter only in 1946. The transport industry is strongly represented on the Livery of nearly 400. The Company contributes to the City of London Schools and to general charities, has a special relationship with the Royal Corps of Transport and presents a shield to transport organisations.
